Peter O’Neill is Director of Risk Analytics for Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM). In this commercial role, Mr. O’Neill is responsible for portfolio construction and risk management and analytics for the global oilseeds portfolio. Furthermore, he helps develop and implement algorithmic trading models. Prior to working at ADM, Mr. O’Neill was Chief Risk Officer and Head of Finance for Uniper Global Commodities North America – a wholly-owned subsidiary of Uniper SE, the German based, independent power producer. While at Uniper, he was responsible for implementing risk management strategies, valuation and quantitative methods, insurance and for running the finance organization. Before joining Uniper, Mr. O’Neill ran the risk team for BG Group’s global energy marketing business in Houston and worked in various risk roles of BP’s Integrated Supply and Trading, which included a two-year assignment with TNK-BP in Moscow. He received his MBA in Finance from the AB Freeman School of Business, Tulane University in New Orleans, and received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He sits on various academic and industry boards that relate to risk management, trading, commodities, and student development.
